Spotlight on Ryland Peters & Small Stationery

Working with the very best authors, photographers and stylists, Ryland Peters & Small produce outstandingly beautiful books on homes & gardens, food & drink, children’s activities, weddings, pregnancy & babies, plus elegant stationery and gifts. We aim to capture, in words and pictures, those elements of life that give the greatest pleasure: sharing the perfect meal with friends, baking a batch of cookies with your children on a lazy Saturday and a home that makes you happy every time you open the front door. Books Monthly already features Ryland Peters and Small books, there were three titles reviewed in the Christmas issue, and more on the way in the next issue. This feature concerns one of RPS's other publishing ventures, their staggeringly beautiful range of stationery, which includes journals, recipe organisers, writing sets, guest books, memo pads, address books etc. Each set of stationery follows a theme, for example, Macarons, Nina Campbell, Jane Packer, Living with Books, Romantic Flowers etc. The following images will give you some idea of what's available:

TRAVEL NOTES JOURNAL

Cico Books

A trip of a lifetime is guaranteed to be filled with wonderful experiences, exciting new people, breathtaking sights and unforgettable places, but it s easy to forget some of the details that contributed to making your memories so special. That's where this brilliant journal comes in. Using the specially designed pages you ll be able to note down all those key details - who was there, what happened, where you went - and relive the memories again and again. There are enough pages to record a whole year of adventures, as well as space to store the contact details of people you meet, note the places you stayed and jot down recommended places to visit, plus blank pages for doodling on long journeys. The front contains a useful section with fill-in pages to plan your trip, including checklists of what to bring alongside spaces to write important information, such as flight times, reference numbers and insurance details. Also included is a pocket and plastic sleeve to store photos, postcards, flyers and more - all the bits and pieces that will remind you of your amazing journey.

Books Monthly is published by Paul Edmund Norman on the first day of each month. Web design is by Gateway. Submitting to Books Monthly: Basically, all you need do is e-mail it along and I'll consider it - it can be any length, if it's very long I'll serialise it, if it's medium-length I'll put it in as a novella, if it's a short story or a feature article it will go in as it comes. Payment is zero, I'm afraid, as I don't make any money from Books Monthly, I do it all for fun! To buy books featured in Books Monthly, go to http://www.booksmonthly.co.uk/astore.html.
